Carriages of Acadia
Carriages of Acadia offers draft horse experiences at a barn just minutes from downtown Ellsworth, Maine, where the horses once pulled carriages on the Rockefeller-built carriage roads of Acadia National Park. Visitors watch the horses being harnessed and cared for, may help with grooming, and can end with a short wagon ride through the forest. Hands-on sessions for school groups, homeschoolers and 4-H clubs, plus carriage driving demonstrations, are also offered.
