All-inclusive ranch vacations with daily riding around Yellowstone and Grand Teton.
On a guest ranch, often called a dude ranch, riding is part of every day. Most ranches in Montana and Wyoming sell all-inclusive stays: a cabin, three meals a day, daily rides with wranglers, and activities such as fishing, cookouts and evening programs. It is the most complete way to ride in the region, and a favorite with families.
What a ranch stay costs
Ranch stays with riding cost $430 to $900 per person per night among the ranches we list. Peak summer weeks cost the most; children’s rates and shoulder seasons cost less.
How to choose a ranch
- Length of stay. Many ranches book by the week in July and August, often arriving on a Sunday. Others take shorter stays, especially early and late in the season.
- Riding program. Look at group sizes, rides for experienced riders, and what is offered for children and non-riders.
- What is included. Check taxes, service fees and gratuities, which are often added to the base rate.
