Tennessee riding runs from the Great Smoky Mountains, where concession stables near Townsend and Gatlinburg lead guided rides inside the national park, across the Cumberland Plateau to the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, home of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Horse trails also run through the Cherokee National Forest, Big South Fork and Natchez Trace State Park, and Chickasaw and Cedars of Lebanon state parks have stables offering guided rides.
