Kohala Na'alapa Stables has led horseback rides since 1981 on Kahua Ranch, a working cattle and sheep ranch of 12,000 acres in North Kohala on the Big Island. Paniolos guide open-range rides of 1.5 or 2.5 hours seven days a week, with views of the mountains and coastline. Rides are not nose to tail, beginners are welcome, experienced riders may trot and canter, and the minimum age is 8.
