MARE Riding Center
MARE Riding Center is a nonprofit in Bakersfield, California, that provides equine-assisted therapy and activities to children, adults and veterans with special needs and disabilities. Public camps during summer and Christmas breaks help fund rider scholarships: a summer horse camp for ages 4 to 12 mixes games, crafts and horsemanship with a ride, and a teen camp for ages 13 to 17 adds groundwork, horse care and more riding time.
