Sunderland Ranch
Sunderland Ranch is a working cattle and guest ranch in Palmer, Alaska, home to about 20 quarter horses, many raised on the property. Its trail rides of 1.5 hours, two hours or half a day cross private farmland into the foothills of the Chugiak Mountains, welcome riders of all levels from age 8, and can be paired with a zipline tour. Summer day camps serve kids aged 8 to 16.
