One-hour to full-day guided rides around the two parks, with the real price of each ride.
Guided trail rides are the easiest way to ride during a trip to Yellowstone or Jackson Hole. Most outfitters offer one-hour and two-hour rides for beginners and families, half-day rides into the national forests, and full-day rides with lunch. Some also run breakfast or dinner rides with a cowboy cookout.
What a trail ride costs
- One hour: $60 to $150 per person
- Two hours: $90 to $395 per person
- Half day (3 to 4 hours): $110 to $695 per person
- Full day: $190 to $1,000 per person
Choosing the right ride
First-time riders and children do best on a one- or two-hour ride on well-used trails, at a walk. Experienced riders can look for half-day and full-day rides, which reach viewpoints, lakes and high meadows, usually in smaller groups and sometimes at a faster pace. Private rides cost more but go at your own speed. Check each listing for the minimum age and the rider weight limit.
